Bawa Baker Confectioner & Food Court

We are located at 516 Model Town. It’s a mix of a bakery and a food court. We have cakes and biscuits in the front and then some more savory food in the back area. The ovens are usually running from early in the morning, so it smells like baking bread most of the day. We aren't a high-end patisserie. We just make standard cakes for birthdays and everyday cookies. The food court part has a few different options if you want a proper meal. Model Town is a busy residential area, so we get a lot of families coming in. The shop is a bit small for everything we try to do, so it can get crowded on the weekends. We have glass display cases that we try to keep clean. Sometimes the kids leave fingerprints all over them. Our staff is mostly local people who live nearby. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just put the stuff in the window and people come in. The building at 516 is an older one, but it works for us. We have some plastic chairs for people to sit on while they eat. It's a casual place where you can just grab a snack or buy a loaf of bread. We aren't trying to do anything revolutionary, just running a neighborhood bakery and food spot. Sometimes we get the orders mixed up when it’s busy, but we fix it. It's just how a small shop operates.
