Annex Computer Gallery

Our shop, Annex Computer Gallery, is located on Link Road at the 4th Cross, specifically unit 4079. It is a bit of a packed space because we have computers, monitors, and various parts everywhere you look. We spend most of our time at the back bench with a screwdriver in hand, trying to figure out why a machine won't start up or fixing a broken screen. The Link Road area is always busy with people moving around, so we get a lot of walk-ins who have some kind of technical trouble. It is a bit messy with cables hanging around and old boxes stacked in the corners, but we know where everything is. We have been working with electronics for a long time, so we have seen just about every problem a computer can have. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought, and we end up staying late with the soldering iron. We don't have a fancy showroom; it is more of a workshop where the focus is on fixing things. It’s a lot of sitting under bright lights and looking at small circuits. We enjoy the work, even when it’s frustrating. People from the neighborhood know they can just drop their laptops off and we will take a look at them. It is just our way of making a living, one computer at a time.
