Aastha Kidney & Super Specialty Hospital

You can find us over at B-20-1197/1, near Aarti Chowk in the Krishna Nagar area. This part of Civil Lines is always bustling with people and cars. Being a kidney and super specialty place sounds very formal, but inside it’s just a bunch of rooms and hallways like any other local hospital. We have the machines and the beds, and we spend most of our time keeping an eye on things. The lobby has those standard plastic chairs that aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job for a short wait. We have a lot of paperwork because of the specialty work we do, so the desks always look a bit cluttered with files. The staff is usually running around between the different floors. It’s not a quiet, hushed environment; there’s usually the sound of someone talking or a trolley being pushed down the hall. We get a lot of dust from the main road, so there’s always someone with a mop or a cloth. It feels like a very practical, hardworking place. We don't have any big statues or fancy fountains in the entrance. It’s just a brick-and-mortar building where we work long shifts. Sometimes the tea stall near Aarti Chowk is the highlight of the afternoon for us when things slow down. We just take things one day at a time here in Krishna Nagar. No one is trying to be a hero, we just do the work.
