The Professional Hair Stylist

If you’re walking around Hazratganj near the Novelty Cinema, you’ve probably seen us. We are located right at 6, Jama Masjid in the Lalbagh area. It’s a busy part of Lucknow, so there is always noise outside, but inside we just focus on the hair. We’ve been cutting hair for quite a long time. People come in for a quick trim or a shave before they head off to work or a movie. The shop isn't huge, but we make it work with the space we have. You won't find any complicated machines or fancy coffee here. It’s just chairs, mirrors, and scissors. Sometimes the wait is a bit long on Sundays because everyone wants to look sharp for the week. We see a lot of regular faces from the offices nearby. Some of them have been coming to us since we first opened. We don't really change things much. The chairs are old but comfortable. We talk about the news or whatever movie is playing down the street. It is a simple life running a shop like this. We know the area well, and the neighbors are all friendly. We stay open until the last customer is done, which sometimes means late nights during the festival season. That is just how it goes in a place like Lucknow. It is a decent way to earn a living.
