The Looks Mens Parlour

You will find The Looks Mens Parlour on Tarakhmukherjee Road in the Model House area of Lucknow. We are right opposite Jain Electricals, so if you see the shop with all the light bulbs and wires, you know you are in the right place. It is an old building and the stairs are a bit narrow for some. Inside, we have the typical barber setup with three chairs and a big shelf for the lotions and sprays. The mirrors are old and have some spots on them, but they do the job fine. We mostly get men from the Model House area who want a regular haircut or a shave before they go to their shops or offices. Lucknow gets very dusty, so we are always wiping down the counters and the chairs. We play the local radio stations while we work. The sound of the scissors and the clippers is the main thing you hear all day. Sometimes we have to wait a bit for customers when the weather is too hot and everyone stays inside their homes. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a big ceiling fan that wobbles a little. It is a basic place for men to get their hair done. We have been on Tarakhmukherjee Road for a while now and we know the other shopkeepers well. It is a busy life but it is ours and we just do the work.
