Suyam Bourgeois

Suyam Bourgeois is located over on New Bery Road in Hazratganj, at number 26. Hazratganj is always moving, so there is always something happening outside our door. We’ve been set up here for a bit, focusing on our clothes and how they look. It’s not a huge place, but it fits what we need to do. Most days involve a lot of looking at samples and talking to people who walk in. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. We are just a local spot where we try to keep things looking decent. The street can be a bit tricky for parking, which we know can be a pain for people. Inside, we keep things pretty simple. There’s a lot of fabric lying around and sketches pinned up on the walls. We don't really follow all the big corporate rules; we just work on what feels right for the season. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, and other days it feels like we can't keep up with the work. We like being in this part of town because it has a lot of history and the buildings have character. Our shop is just one of many on this road, but we've made it our own over the years. We just try to keep the quality steady and stay busy.
