If you walk through Daliganj, you’ll find us tucked away among the other shops. We opened Sunlion Stationers because this neighborhood needed a place where students could get their supplies without traveling too far. It gets pretty crowded in here during the exam season or when schools start back up after the holidays. We stack the notebooks high and sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze to find exactly what you want among all the pens and registers. It isn't the most organized place in the world, to be honest. We’ve got stacks of paper everywhere and the drawer for the rubber bands always seems to get stuck. My cousin helps me behind the counter most afternoons. We know a lot of the families around here since their kids have been buying pencils from us since primary school. Sometimes we run out of the specific ink someone wants, and we have to wait for the delivery truck, which is always late. We just try to stock the basic stuff people actually use every day. It’s a bit dusty, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound that we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We don't do anything fancy, just selling paper, clips, and whatever else a student or a small office nearby might need. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for when the school bell rings nearby in the afternoons.
