Style & Shine Ladies Beauty Parlour is right here in the Ambika Complex, just near the IT College and the busy IT Crossing in Lucknow. We have been in this spot for a while now, and if you know this part of the city, you know how crowded the crossing gets, especially when the college students are out. The shop is a simple place with a few chairs and big mirrors that we try to keep clean every morning. Usually, I get here a bit early to sweep the floor and set up the threads and the creams before the first person walks in. It’s not a huge place, but it gets the job done when someone needs their eyebrows shaped or some hair work. The fans keep things moving because the Lucknow heat can be something else during the middle of the day. We don’t have fancy stuff, just what is needed for basic beauty work. Often, we just sit and talk with the neighborhood ladies about their day while we work. It’s mostly regular people from around here who stop by because they are already passing the complex. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. There is no big secret to how we do things, we just use the tools we have and try to make sure no one is waiting too long on the plastic chairs near the door. It’s just a normal shop in a busy part of Lucknow.
