Step N Style Saloon

Step N Style Saloon is situated at Shop No. 1 in the Nagar Nigam Market. We are right in the River Bank Colony area of Lucknow, directly across from the Judges Compound. The location is quite good because it’s a central part of the city. The shop is part of a local market, so there are always people around buying vegetables or running errands. It’s a small space, but we’ve tried to make it look decent. We have a few chairs and some mirrors along the wall. I’ve been working in Lucknow for a long time and I’ve seen many shops come and go in this market. We focus on basic hair cutting and styling for the local men and kids. It’s a straightforward place with no extra frills. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If I'm busy, you just have to wait your turn on the plastic chairs by the door. The River Bank Colony is a nice enough place to work. We get a lot of people who work in the nearby government offices. The shop gets quite dusty because of the road outside, so I spend a lot of time cleaning the windows and the floor. It’s a steady job and I enjoy the daily routine of it. We open up in the morning and stay until the market starts to close down. It’s a typical local salon where you can get a regular haircut without paying too much. It’s just a normal part of the market scene here.
