Smarty Mens Parlour

Wazir Ganj is a busy part of Lucknow, and our shop is right on Hamid Road near the Citi Station. Being so close to the station means we get all sorts of people walking past. Smarty Mens Parlour has been around for a bit, and it's basically a small, honest shop for the local men. We have the standard blue and white tiles on the walls and those heavy chairs that have been bolted down for years. It’s a noisy area with the trains and the street vendors, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of clippers and the occasional chatter. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the regulars by name. People stop by for a quick trim before catching a train or after they get off work. The lighting is a bit bright, and we have a small TV in the corner that’s usually tuned to the news or a movie channel. We keep the scissors sharp and the combs in the sanitizing jars. There’s no fancy waiting room, just a bench where you sit and wait for your turn. It’s the kind of place where you don't have to explain much; we know what most people want as soon as they sit down. We close up once the sun goes down and the station traffic thins out, then we sweep the floor one last time before heading home. It's just a regular, hard-working shop in a very busy part of town.
