Our spot is at Plot No -19, Khasra No -60 in Aadil Nagar, right along Kursi Road. If you know the Bkt area, you know how busy that road gets with all the trucks and rickshaws. We are tucked slightly back from the main noise, but you can still hear the horns all day. We deal with microcare, which basically means we look at the small details of how people in the city are getting by. It’s a bit of a messy office with maps on the wall and a few wobbly tables. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door gets it. We spend a lot of time out in the neighborhood, talking to shopkeepers and families about their daily struggles. Then we come back here to write it all down. It’s a lot of manual work and not much glamour. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we end up just talking things through instead of typing. We’ve got a small cooler for water, and that’s about the only luxury we have. People stop by because they know we are locals too and we don’t talk down to anyone. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the place running. It’s honest, simple, and sometimes a little bit disorganized, but we like it that way because it feels real.
