Shazee Boutique

Shazee Boutique is tucked away in Billochpura, right in the Nakhas Mohalla area. It is a place with a lot of history and the streets are quite narrow. You can hear the sounds of the market and people talking outside all the time. Our shop is small and simple. We have been here for a long time and we know the people in the mohalla very well. We mostly do traditional clothes and embroidery work. There are always boxes of beads and spools of colorful thread sitting on the counters. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. People find us because their mothers or sisters told them about us. I sit at my machine for most of the day, and sometimes the light isn't the best, but I know the patterns by heart now. It is a family thing, really. My daughters help out when they aren't at school. We don't have much space, so we have to be careful where we put things. When the festive season comes, we are working late into the night to finish all the orders. The shop gets very hot in the summer and we have a small table fan that we move around. It is a busy life but we like being in Billochpura. We are just local people making clothes for our neighbors and friends in the community.
