Semal Foundation

Our office is on Sitapur Road in Lucknow, right in the Fazullaganj area. Specifically, we’re at Plot No-7 in Semra Gauri. It’s a busy part of the city, and there is always something going on outside our door. We’ve been here for a while now, running the Semal Foundation as a small, local operation. We don’t have any fancy corporate offices or a big board of directors. It’s just us, working out of a plain building and trying to keep things organized. We focus on whatever community issues pop up in the Fazullaganj neighborhood. Some days that means helping someone with paperwork, and other days it might be something entirely different. We don’t have a polished mission statement or a set of marketing goals. We just show up every morning and see what needs to be done. The office can get a bit cluttered with all the projects we have going on, but we know where everything is. People in the area know us, and they often stop by just to chat or ask for advice on something. We like that it’s informal. It makes the work feel more real and less like a job. We’re just part of the Lucknow community, trying to do our bit without making a big fuss about it. It’s practical, everyday work that keeps us busy and connected to our neighbors on Sitapur Road.
