Asg Chikan Udyog

Asg Chikan Udyog is located in Sarojini Nagar, tucked away near the Housing Cooperative Society. We specialize in the traditional Chikan work that this region is known for. Our setup is pretty modest, just a few rooms where the fabric is kept and the needlework is checked over. We aren't a big factory or a high-end boutique in a mall. Most of our work happens right here in the neighborhood. We work with a lot of local artisans who bring their skills to every piece. Being near the cooperative society means we have a lot of neighbors walking past our doors every day. It’s a friendly place. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone sees a suit or a shirt their friend bought from us and asks where they got it. That’s how we’ve always operated. The rooms are often cluttered with piles of thread and cloth, but we know where everything is. We take things slow and focus on the details of the stitching. It’s not the kind of work you can rush if you want it to look right. We’ve stayed in Sarojini Nagar because it feels like home. If you want to see what we are working on, you can just stop by. There’s no pressure to buy anything. We just like showing people the kind of craft we do here in our small corner of the city.
