Riwayat

If you look for house number 113, right across from Sarai Husaini Begum, that’s where you’ll find Riwayat. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and it feels like home to us. It’s not a corporate office at all; it’s more like a workshop where we keep our supplies and do our daily tasks. The area has a lot of history, and you can feel it when you’re walking down the street. We try to keep things quiet and just get on with our work. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us who know the trade well. We don't spend money on advertising or big signs. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they live nearby. Inside, it’s a bit cluttered with materials and half-finished items, but that’s how we like it. It shows we’re actually doing something. We don't have a formal dress code, so we just wear whatever is comfortable for the day's labor. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit, but we use that time to sit outside and chat for a few minutes. We take pride in the stuff we put together here, even if we don't talk about it in a flashy way. It’s a simple life at Riwayat, and we’re happy to keep it that way for as long as we can. We just do our best.
