Our little shop, Sardarjee Saree Wala, is tucked away in Pratap Market over in the Aminabad area. If you know this part of town, you know exactly how crowded and full of life it stays every single day. It is a very traditional place to be. We have been handling all sorts of sarees here for a long time. Aminabad has that old-school vibe that you just don't get in the newer shopping malls. Pratap Market is really where all the action happens if you are looking for any kind of traditional wear. We don't have some big corporate office or a team of fancy people. It is just the shop floor and big stacks of sarees everywhere. Every day we come in, open up the shop, and start the work of folding and showing the fabrics. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until night. People come from all over the city to shop here because they know Pratap Market is the main spot for these things. Sardarjee Saree Wala is just the name on our board, but for us, it is our second home. The lanes are narrow and the air gets hot in the summer, but that is just part of being in Aminabad. We don't do much advertising at all. Most of our customers are just people walking through the market. It is a simple setup and we like it that way. We just keep the sarees ready for whoever stops by the shop in Pratap Market.
