Sanjay General Stores

Sanjay General Stores is located on Hardoi Road in the Chowk area of Lucknow. We are specifically in the Ban Wali Gali Chowk, which is one of those old, narrow lanes that Lucknow is famous for. The pin code here is 226003. Being in the Chowk means it is always noisy and full of life. Our shop is small, but it is packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of general goods. We have everything from tea and sugar to small household items like light bulbs and thread. The lane is so narrow that sometimes two people can barely pass each other, but that’s just how it is here. We’ve been serving the local community for a long time. People come in and ask for things by their local names, and we know exactly what they need. We don't have a big staff, usually just one or two of us behind the counter. The air is often filled with the smell of nearby food stalls, which makes us hungry all day. It’s an honest way to earn a living, staying in one place and watching the world go by through the shop front. We don't bother with fancy advertising; the people in the Gali know where we are if they need anything for their homes. It is just a practical, everyday shop.
