Samanvay Initiative Foundation

We started Samanvay Initiative Foundation here in Lucknow, specifically over at Maruti Puram in Mr. SK Bhattacharya’s place. It’s been a bit of a journey getting things set up at address 63. We mostly just focus on the work right in front of us. Most days you'll find someone at the office trying to sort out the paperwork or talking to people from the neighborhood. It isn't a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. Just a regular spot where we try to get things done. People around here know the Maruti Puram area well, so it’s easy enough to find us if you’re looking. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who care about what's happening around here. Sometimes the phones are busy or the electricity acts up, but we keep at it. We wanted a place that felt more like a home than a corporate building, and I think we found that here. Usually, someone is around during the day, though we might step out for errands or meetings in the city. There is always a lot to handle, from basic administrative tasks to planning out what we need to do next month. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay organized. It’s a quiet street usually, which helps us focus on the tasks we’ve got. We’ve been at 226016 for a while now and feel like part of the furniture.
