Sak Rice

We are based in Chinhat Village, right off the Faizabad Road. It is a good spot because the road connects us to everything, but it also means it is always noisy with trucks and buses passing by. The mill is where we spend the bulk of our time, surrounded by piles of rice bags. It is a simple setup with a lot of heavy lifting involved. The workers here are mostly from the village or nearby, and we have known them a long time. It is not a shiny, new factory; it is a place that has been worked in and shows its age. We do not spend money on decorations or fancy signs. The focus is just on the rice and getting it ready for the markets. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to fix it ourselves on the spot. That is just part of the daily routine. When you walk in, you will see a lot of activity and probably get a bit of dust on your shoes. We are not trying to be anything we are not. We are just a local rice business in Chinhat, making a living and providing for our families. It is a long day's work, but it is what we know how to do. We keep the machines running and the grain moving out to the buyers.
