Tanishee Boutique

You can find Tanishee Boutique over at Sahara Bhawan. We are right near the Archies Gallery, which most people know as a landmark around here. It is a small place where we spend our time with fabrics and patterns. We started this because we liked working with clothes. It's not a big corporate store, just a local boutique where things are a bit more personal. Sometimes the shop gets a little messy with threads and cloth scraps everywhere, but that’s just part of the work. Sahara Bhawan is a familiar building for most people in this neighborhood. We have been in this spot for a while and have seen the shops around us change. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of us making sure everything looks right. People usually hear about us from their friends or just walk in while they are visiting the gallery next door. It’s a quiet enough street most days. We don't go for anything flashy. We just focus on the stitching and the fit of the garments. It’s honest work and we enjoy being part of the local community here. If you are walking by Sahara Bhawan, you’ll see our sign. We keep our sewing machines going all day and usually have something new on the hangers to show whoever stops by. It is just a simple way to make a living with our hands.
