Sadhyakala Handlooms Llp

We operate out of Ravindra Garden in Aliganj. It’s a nice enough part of Lucknow, fairly quiet compared to the main markets. Sadhyakala Handlooms Llp is basically run from the house at number 15, care of R K Srivastava. It started as a small idea because we all had a bit of an interest in handlooms. Lucknow has such a long history with fabrics and weaving, so it felt right to do something in that line. We don’t have a massive warehouse or anything. Most of what we do involves coordinating with weavers and getting the pieces ready for whoever wants them. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on progress. Sometimes the colors aren't exactly what we expected, or the thread takes longer to arrive, but that’s just how it goes with handmade things. We aren't a big company with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us trying to keep the business going. We keep our records in big ledgers and try to stay organized, even when the living room gets full of stock. It’s a bit messy at times, but it’s a working home. People in the neighborhood know what we’re doing. We don’t have a big sign outside or anything flashy. We just focus on the handlooms and try to make sure each piece is decent before it leaves Aliganj. It’s hard work but it keeps us busy and we like the rhythm of it all. Anyway, that is pretty much us.
