We’ve been here in Aliganj for a while now, just across from Sahara Tower in Kapoorthala Bagh. It gets pretty loud outside with all the traffic and people moving around, but inside it’s mostly just us and the families who come in. Most days start early because kids don't really wait for the clock to strike nine when they aren't feeling well. We see a lot of parents from around the neighborhood. Sometimes they look really tired, holding their little ones. It’s just the way things are here. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. Just the basic chairs and the desks. You can see the tower through the window if you stand in the right spot. Working with children means there is always a bit of noise, maybe some crying or the sound of toys hitting the floor. We try to keep things moving so people aren’t waiting forever in the heat. Lucknow summers are tough, so the fan is usually running on high. We know most of the faces that walk through the door by now. It feels like a small community even though Aliganj is so big and busy. We just do our work, talk to the parents, and hope the kids feel better by the time they leave. There isn't much more to it than that. Just a regular place doing regular work every day for the people living nearby.
