Child Health Clinic

The Child Health Clinic is situated right in Khadra, specifically across from the Shia P G College on Sitapur Road. It’s a very busy spot because of the college and all the traffic moving along Sitapur Road, so there’s never a dull moment outside our windows. We get a lot of people stopping in because they saw our sign while they were passing by on the main road. The clinic itself is fairly simple. We have a front desk where we keep all the records, and a couple of rooms for the check-ups. The chairs in the waiting room are a bit old and the fan makes a clicking sound when it’s on the highest setting, but it gets the job done and keeps people from sweating too much. We mostly deal with general health stuff for kids, like making sure they are growing right and checking on them when they get a cold or the flu. It gets pretty hectic in the middle of the day when the college students are out and the local families are all trying to get their errands done at the same time. We just try to keep things moving and make sure we don’t fall too far behind on our schedule. It's honest work, and we’ve gotten to know a lot of the families in the Khadra area over the years. We aren't part of some big chain; we’re just a local health clinic doing what we can for the kids in this part of town.
