Priyambika Beautique

Priyambika Beautique is inside the LDA Shopping Complex in Kaporthala. We are at shops 46 and 47. It’s a busy area of Aliganj, right across from the Indian Oil building. There are always people walking through the complex, so there is plenty to see from our front window. We have been in this spot for a while now. The shop itself is divided into a couple of sections so we can do different things at once. We handle hair, makeup, and general beauty work. Since we are in a shopping complex, we get a lot of people who are out doing their errands and decide to stop in. It’s not a very fancy place, but it is clean and we have good lighting. We spend a lot of time organizing the various bottles and tools we use. Lucknow can get quite humid, so we try to keep the fans going at full speed. We don't use any complicated systems for appointments; mostly people just walk in or call us on the phone. It’s a lot of manual work and being on our feet all day, but we are used to it by now. We see a wide variety of customers because of where we are located. Some just want a quick five-minute job and others stay for an hour. We just take them as they come and do what needs doing. The shopping complex can get quite dark in the corridors, but our shop is always bright. We have a lot of mirrors. Sometimes the other shopkeepers come by for a chat.
