Pritika Beauty Parlour

Pritika Beauty Parlour is tucked into G.F.-168 of the Khazana Complex on Bangla Bazar Road. This part of Sector-K in the L.D.A. Colony is always active, especially with people shopping around the complex. We are on the ground floor, so people often just wander in after doing their groceries or running errands nearby. The space is filled with the usual smells of a beauty parlour—soaps, lotions, and hairspray. We have been here in Lucknow for a while and have built up a steady group of regulars. The layout is simple with a few separate areas for different tasks. We don't have any shiny brochures or fancy receptionists. Usually, you just walk in and someone will help you out as soon as a chair is free. The walls have some old posters and the lighting is just standard tube lights. It feels very much like a home away from home for many of the women in the colony. We spend our days doing threading, waxing, and basic hair work. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just how things go around here. We try to keep the prices fair so that anyone from the neighborhood can come in whenever they need to. It is a practical, no-nonsense shop where we work hard and look after our neighbors. There is nothing complicated about how we run things, we just do our jobs well.
