Paridhan Chikan Udyog

We are located at No. 27-28 in Ram Bazar, right on the Khun-Khun Ji Road in the Chowk area. It’s a traditional part of the city, and the market is always packed with people looking for good fabric. Our shop is where we handle all the Chikan work. It’s a family-run thing, really. We grew up around these patterns and threads. The shop is filled with piles of cloth and the smell of fresh fabric. We don't have a website with fancy photos or a big marketing budget. We just sit in the shop and talk to the people who walk in. Some customers have been coming to us for decades, and now their children come too. It’s a slow kind of work, very different from the fast stuff you see in malls. Each piece has a lot of time put into it. The lighting in the shop isn't the best, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the tea boy from the corner brings us rounds of chai while we show the latest designs to a visitor. It’s a noisy, crowded street outside, but inside we just focus on the stitching and the patterns. We like it this way. It feels real and connected to the history of the Chowk. We just want to keep the tradition going without making it too complicated. It is just a simple shop doing what it has done for many years and many families.
