Naini Beauty Centre

Naini Beauty Centre has been sitting at 11 Shah Najaf Road for a while now. We are right in the Hazratganj area of Lucknow, which is always busy with people. You can see St Joseph School and the Cathedral Church from nearby, so that helps people find us if they’re new to this part of town. It’s a lot of noise outside with the traffic and the school bells, but inside it’s just the usual parlour sounds. We get a lot of ladies coming in after they drop their kids off or before they go shopping in Hazratganj. The space is often filled with the smell of different creams and shampoos. We don’t really do anything over the top here. It’s just threading, waxing, and hair stuff. The mirrors have a few smudges sometimes, and the chairs have seen better days, but they’re comfortable enough for a quick visit. We talk a lot while we work. It’s mostly just gossip about the neighborhood or what’s happening in Lucknow. We keep a water cooler in the corner for when it gets really hot outside. It isn't a place where you feel you have to dress up just to walk in. We see people in their everyday clothes just looking to get a bit of work done. Being near the church and school means there’s always someone walking by the window. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes through the door. It’s just a regular local business.
