Morning Star Menz Parlour

This shop is tucked away behind Star Hotel, right near the mosque on Cantt Road. The location is a bit specific because of the Odean Cinema Ki Dhal. If you are new to this part of Lucknow, you might have to ask someone where the masjid is. Morning Star Menz Parlour has been around for a bit. It is just a place for men to get a haircut or a shave. We don't use those fancy gels that smell like fruit. Mostly it is just the sound of clippers and the radio playing in the background. My cousin helps me out on the busy days, especially on Sundays. People come in, sit down, and read the newspaper while they wait. We have got a couple of old chairs that are still comfortable enough. The walls could probably use some new paint, but we have not gotten around to it yet. Life is busy. We focus on getting the cut right so nobody complains. We see a lot of office workers because we are in the 226001 area. Sometimes the water pressure is low, so we keep buckets ready. It is just how things go here. We are not trying to be the most modern place in the city. We just want to do honest work and earn our keep. It is a small business, and we appreciate the regulars who come back every month. It feels good to have a steady trade.
