Modern Law House

We are down in the basement of Narain Bazaar, at Shop No. 4, which is located at 10 Lalbagh. Being in the basement is nice because it stays a bit cooler than the street level when it gets really hot outside. We have been operating as a law house for quite a long time. Our shop is small and it is mostly filled with books from the floor all the way up to the ceiling. It can be a little hard to navigate between the stacks sometimes, but we know where everything is kept. We spend most of our time helping people find legal texts and other documents they might need for their studies or their work. We are not a big company with a lot of fancy staff. It is just a couple of us here most days. We don't have any big mission or polished corporate image. We just open the shop in the morning and wait for people to come in. Lalbagh is a busy area, but our basement shop feels a bit like a quiet escape from all that noise. We enjoy the work, even if it involves a lot of lifting heavy books and dealing with a lot of dust. People mostly find us through word of mouth, which we prefer anyway. We just keep doing what we’ve always done. It is quiet, steady work that keeps us busy from morning till night.
