Matrix Unisex Salon

Matrix Unisex Salon is located at the Bailigarad Chauraha in Aliganj, Lucknow, right across from the Shyam Swaad eatery. Having a food place like that nearby is great because there is always a crowd around the chauraha, and people often stop in here after they have had something to eat. Being a unisex salon, we see both men and women throughout the day, which keeps things interesting. The shop is set up with different chairs for different needs, and we have the usual mirrors and hair-cutting tools scattered around. Aliganj is a busy part of Lucknow, and the traffic at the intersection can get pretty loud, but we are used to the honking and the noise by now. We focus on the basic things like haircuts, shaves, and simple hair styling. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that; it is just a local shop where we work hard and try to keep the place looking decent. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so someone is always holding a broom. We have a few assistants who help out when it gets busy in the evenings. Most of our regulars are people who work in the nearby offices or live in the Aliganj flats. It’s just a normal place where you can get your hair done and chat for a bit before heading back out into the Lucknow heat and traffic.
