If you are looking for us, we are over at 208 Aishbagh, near the old Anjuman Cinema. The shop is B-2 on the upper ground floor of Surya Market in Ganesh Ganj. Aminabad is always a crowded mess, but that is just how it is. We have fabrics draped over the chairs and sketches pinned to the walls. It is not a very big space, but we make the most of it. Usually, you can hear the movie soundtracks drifting over from the cinema nearby while we work. Deepika is usually busy with the measuring tape or talking to someone about a pattern. We have some mannequins that we move around to catch the light from the front window. The market can get pretty loud in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. We have a small corner where we keep the sewing machines and another for the finished dresses. Sometimes the tea stall guy forgets our order, so one of us has to run down the stairs. It is a bit of a climb to get up here, but people manage. We don't have any corporate slogans or anything like that. It is just a boutique where we spend our days cutting cloth and making sure things fit right. Mansha Boutique By Deepika Agarwal is just our little spot in the middle of a very busy neighborhood. We stay late most nights when there is a lot of work to finish.
