Maa Laxmi Beauty Parlour

Maa Laxmi Beauty Parlour is tucked away in Visheswar Nagar, which is part of the Alambagh area in Lucknow. It is a residential neighborhood, so most of our customers are just the ladies who live down the street. We don't have a fancy glass front, just a simple door and a small sign. Inside, we have two chairs and a small table for the manicure stuff. The walls are painted a light pink, though it has faded a bit over the years. We spend our days doing eyebrows, hair oiling, and the usual things people need for weddings or parties. Alambagh is always crowded and noisy, but our corner in Visheswar Nagar is a bit quieter. We know whose daughter is getting married and who just moved into the new flat nearby. It is that kind of place. Sometimes we run out of water and have to wait for the tank to fill up, but nobody really minds. We just sit and chat while we wait. We use simple products that we know work well. There is no computer here or any fancy booking system. People just walk in or call us on the phone. It is a honest way to make a living. We have been here through many seasons and we plan to stay right here in Alambagh for as long as we can keep going. The neighbors are nice and we like the routine of the shop.
