Lok Sewa Samiti Foundation

We are set up over at 293/123 Old Haiderganj Chowk. If you know the area, you know it stays pretty busy most of the time. Lok Sewa Samiti Foundation is just a small group of us working out of this space. It’s not a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. We have a few old desks and some plastic chairs for when people stop by to talk. The fan makes a bit of noise but it keeps the air moving during those hot Lucknow afternoons. We’ve been around this part of the city for a while now. People usually find us just by walking down the street and asking someone where we are. It’s a local thing, really. We don’t spend much time on the computer or doing things online. Most of our work is just talking to neighbors and trying to handle the things that come up in the community. Sometimes it’s a bit messy and we don’t always have the answers right away. We just try to do what we can with the little we have. The tea stall nearby is where we usually take our breaks. It’s a simple life here at the chowk. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just looking after our own corner of it. If you’re ever passing through Old Haiderganj, you’ll see our door open. We don't have a formal reception, just come on in.
