Kites Unisex Saloon

Kites is located right on the Ring Road in Indira Nagar, Lucknow. Being near the petrol pump means we get people stopping by who weren't even planning on getting a haircut. They just see the sign while filling up their tanks and decide to come in. Since we are a unisex saloon, we see all kinds of people, men and women both. Lucknow summers are tough so we try to keep the place as cool as we can with the fans and the air conditioning when it’s working. The traffic on Ring Road is constant and you can hear the horns honking all day long. It becomes like background music after a while. We have a few different stations set up for hair and skin stuff. It isn't a massive place but there is enough room to move around. We spend most of our time standing on our feet and talking to people about their day. Some customers want to talk a lot and others just want to sit in silence while we work. We don't mind either way. We've seen Indira Nagar change quite a bit over the years as more shops opened up. Even with the new places, we still have our same old customers who wouldn't go anywhere else. We just keep doing what we do every day. It’s a simple routine and it works for us and the people who live around here.
