Kisun Chandradeep Singh Foundation

You can find us at number 471 in Sector N1, Aliganj. It’s a pretty established part of the area, and the streets are lined with houses that all look somewhat similar. Our place, the Kisun Chandradeep Singh Foundation, is just one of those houses converted into a working space. We don’t have any big neon signs or anything like that. Usually, there’s just a small nameplate near the bell. Inside, the rooms are fairly large but they are filled up with old desks and wooden cupboards. We’ve got a ceiling fan in every room that works hard during the summer months. The floor is that old-style terrazzo that stays cool even when it’s baking outside. We spend most of our time in the front room because it gets the best light. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat or ask about something, which is just how Aliganj is. It’s a friendly enough spot. We’ve got a small backyard that’s mostly overgrown because nobody has the time to do any gardening. We use it to store some old crates and broken furniture for now. It’s not the most modern office you’ll ever see, but it suits us just fine for the work we do. We drink a lot of coffee and try to keep the paperwork from flying away when the fan is on high. It’s just our daily life here in this part of Lucknow.
