King Hair Parlour

Our parlour is situated in Tambakoo Mandi in the Chaupatiyan area of Lucknow. We are near the Talha Masjid, which is a well-known spot in this neighborhood. This part of Lucknow is old and the streets are narrow, but that is where all the life is. I have been running King Hair Parlour here for several years. It is not a palace, despite the name. It is just a small room with some old-fashioned barber chairs and big mirrors. We do haircuts, shaves, and head massages. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Men from the Mandi come in to take a break and get cleaned up. We talk about the weather or the price of things in the market while I work. It is a very local vibe. You won't find any fancy computers or booking systems here; people just walk in and wait their turn. The shop is a bit old, and the walls could probably use some new paint, but it feels like home to us. Being near the Masjid means we see a lot of people every day. I like being in Chaupatiyan because everyone knows everyone else. We just try to provide a steady service to the community and keep the traditions of the local barber shop alive. It is a small business but it keeps us going every day in this busy city.
