Kazmi Creation

We are located in the basement of Afzal Market. It is right in the middle of Gali Parcha Chowk. If you know the Chowk, you know how busy it gets. There are people everywhere and the noise never really stops. To get to Kazmi Creation, you have to walk down some narrow concrete steps. It’s cooler down in the basement than it is on the street, which is nice in the summer. We don't have any windows, so we have to keep the lights on all day. It feels a bit like a cave, but we are used to it. There are stacks of materials against every wall. The floor is a bit dusty because of all the foot traffic. We have a small radio that we play to drown out the noise from the market upstairs. It’s a tight space, so we have to be careful not to trip over things. The market outside is full of shops selling all kinds of things. Sometimes it’s hard to even get to our door because of the crowds. We usually get to work early before the Chowk gets too packed. We stay down here until the evening when things start to quiet down a bit. It’s a lot of hard work in a small space. We just keep our heads down and get it done without worrying about the chaos outside.
