Mamta Belt House

Aminabad is one of those places that never seems to sleep, and Mamta Belt House is right in the middle of it. Our spot is in the Bholaram Building, specifically at No. 8. Pratap Market is always full of noise and people looking for things. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We have been here for a while now. The building is older, and you can see the history in the walls and the narrow hallways. We don't really bother with much decoration in the shop. It’s just a place where we keep our stock and wait for people to drop by. Some days are slower than others. When it rains, the streets of Aminabad get a bit messy, but that's just how this market is. We usually get in early to beat the worst of the crowd. It’s mostly about routine here. We set things out, check what we have, and talk to the neighbors. Everyone knows everyone in this part of Pratap Market. You don’t need a map once you get close to the Bholaram Building. It’s a sturdy place. We don’t do anything fancy with our setup. It’s just shelves and the items we have for sale. It’s a simple way to make a living and keep busy. We stay focused on the work at hand and try to keep things organized in the small space we have. There is always tea around if someone stops to talk.
