Our travel shop is located in Shankarpuri Kamta. It’s where we handle all the bookings for Indus Tours N Travels. Usually, the office is covered in brochures and printed itineraries for various trips. We spend our days looking at train schedules, flight times, and hotel availability. It’s a small place in Kamta, but we stay busy because people always want to go somewhere new. We handle the tickets and the visas and all the little details that people find annoying to do themselves. Sometimes we are planning a long trip for a family and other times it’s just a quick bus ticket for someone heading to the next town. We’ve been in Shankarpuri for a good bit now, so the locals know where to find us when they need a getaway. The office can get a bit messy with all the printouts and maps, but we know where everything is. It’s a lot of computer work and talking on the phone to various agents. We just try to get the dates right and make sure the prices are what people expect. It’s a decent way to spend the day, hearing about where everyone wants to travel. We just keep at it, one booking at a time, making sure the paperwork is done correctly. There's always a stack of passports waiting to be processed on the side table near the window. We just keep the lights on and the printers running.
