Isha Beauty Care is tucked away in Indira Market, right on Kachcha Hata Road. If you know Aminabad, you know it’s one of the busiest parts of Lucknow. There’s always someone shouting or a rickshaw bell ringing outside. We are right opposite Mahila College, so we see a lot of students walking by every day. The shop itself isn't very big. We’ve got our equipment set up in a way that makes sense to us, even if it looks a bit crowded to someone else. It’s a practical space. We do basic beauty work, nothing too complicated. Most days are spent dealing with the humidity and keeping the place tidy. Aminabad - 226018 is a place where everyone is in a hurry, but inside here, we try to just focus on the job. We have some old posters on the walls and the floor is a bit worn from all the walking. It feels like home to us because we spend so much time here. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but that’s just part of living in this area. We usually have a bottle of water ready for anyone who comes in tired from the heat. It’s just a normal local parlour. No fancy uniforms or anything, just us working and chatting with the ladies who come by. We’ve been here long enough that the tea stall guy knows exactly when to bring our afternoon cups.
