Help And Lift Foundation

Our foundation is located at House Number 127A in New Azad Puram, over in the Chawani Ashraf Khan area. It’s a regular residential neighborhood, so we are right in the thick of things. The house is a bit older, with a heavy metal door that stays open during the day. Help And Lift Foundation doesn't have a big corporate budget, so our office is just a couple of rooms with basic furniture. We have a few plastic chairs for visitors and some old desks we’ve had for years. You can usually hear the neighbors talking or someone cooking next door while we work. It’s not a quiet, sterile office environment, but we like the energy of the street. We do a lot of our planning sitting around the small table in the back room. The light isn't great in the mornings, so we use a couple of desk lamps to see what we’re doing. There are always stacks of papers that need sorting and the phone rings pretty often. We don't have a receptionist, so whoever is closest to the phone just picks it up. It’s a very informal way of running things, but it works for us. We’ve been in Chawani Ashraf Khan for a bit now and we feel like part of the furniture. It’s just a plain, honest space where we get our daily tasks done.
