Wing Lucknowi Chikan Garments

We are right across from that big multi-level parking lot in Hazratganj. If you walk past it and see the Levana Hotel, you probably already walked past our shop. Wing Lucknowi Chikan Garments is a place where we keep a lot of traditional work. It’s the kind of stuff Lucknow is famous for and we’ve been doing this for a while. The shop gets quite dusty because of all the fabric, but that’s just how it is when you're dealing with Chikan work. We have people coming in and out all day looking for different patterns and thread work. Most of the stuff we have here is made by local hands, which takes a lot of time and effort to get right. We aren't a massive factory or anything, just a hub where these garments are collected and sold. Some of the designs are very old and some are a bit newer to fit what people wear today. Hazratganj is always loud with traffic and people walking around, so it feels very alive outside. We spend a lot of time folding clothes and putting them back on the shelves after customers look through them. It’s a lot of manual work. We don't really use fancy computers for much other than the basic billing. It's more about the feel of the cloth and seeing the stitches. People usually know us from word of mouth or just because they were parking their car nearby and saw our sign on the way.
