Gorgeous Beauty Saloon & Makeup Studio

Gorgeous Beauty Saloon & Makeup Studio is located in Gasbad Jhala, right in the Aminabad area of Lucknow. We are directly opposite Shanker Das Salig Ram, which is a very famous landmark in this part of town. Aminabad is always crowded, especially during the festive seasons, so our shop stays quite busy. We have a section for regular beauty work and another spot where we do makeup for brides and parties. It can get a bit chaotic when there are three or four people waiting and the phone keeps ringing. I started this place because I liked doing makeup, and now it has grown into a full-time job for me and my sisters. The lighting inside is very bright because you need to see the colors properly for makeup. We have a lot of different lipsticks and powders scattered on the counters most of the time. The floor is white tile, so I have to mop it several times a day to keep it looking okay. Sometimes the smell of street food from the vendors outside wafts in, making us all hungry. We don’t have a fancy waiting room, just some plastic chairs along the wall for people. Customers come here because they know us and we’ve been in the neighborhood for a long time. It’s a loud and happy place most of the time, even when we are tired after a long day.
