Glitiz Beauty Parlour

Glitiz Beauty Parlour is located right in Kamla Market in the Aminabad section of Lucknow. Aminabad is always incredibly busy, so there is never a dull moment outside our door. We’ve been operating in this market for some time now. Our shop is where women come when they need to get ready for something or just want to tidy up their hair. It’s a small space, which is common for Kamla Market. We have to be very organized to make everything fit. We do things like waxing, hair styling, and basic makeup. We don't have any of those big corporate manuals. We just learned the work by doing it for years. A lot of our customers are shopkeepers from nearby or people who come to Aminabad for their weekly shopping. They pop in for a quick service and then head back out into the crowd. We keep the mirrors clean and the chairs ready. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the door slightly ajar for a breeze. We don't make big promises or use fancy language. People come back because they know us and they know where we are. It’s a very straightforward way to run a business. We start our day when the market opens and we don't leave until the last customer is done. It’s a lot of standing, but we are used to it by now. We’ve been here long enough that the market feels like home. We just do our work.
