Gift & Gifts

Our shop, Gift & Gifts, is located at No. 1 Capper Road in the Lalbagh area. We are right near the old Novelty Cinema, which is a place everyone knows. Lalbagh is a lively part of town, and being on Capper Road means there are always people walking past our window. The shop is filled with all sorts of items, and sometimes it feels like we are running out of shelf space. It is a bit cluttered, but that is part of the charm, I think. We don't have a corporate strategy or anything like that. I just pick out things that I think people might like to give as presents. Sometimes the boxes are stacked a bit high in the corners because we just got a new delivery. I handle the sales and the wrapping, and sometimes my family helps out when it gets close to the holidays. It is a simple life running a gift shop. We see people when they are happy, usually looking for something for a birthday or a wedding. The floorboards creak a little when you walk on them, and the bell on the door is a bit loud, but it is home to us. We have been here for a while and seen the neighborhood change, but the cinema is still there and so are we. It is just a regular place where you can find something nice without spending too much time or money. We just enjoy being part of Lalbagh.
