G Mart

If you head down toward the Double Puliya in Rajaji Puram, you’ll find us at Plot No. S-57 in Sector-17. Being near the Lic Chauraha means there is always someone passing by our front door. G Mart is just a regular local store where we try to keep the shelves full of the basics people need for their kitchens and homes. It’s a lot of work, honestly. We spend a lot of time dragging crates around and making sure the milk is cold and the bread is fresh. The floor gets a bit scuffed from all the foot traffic, but that’s just how it is when you’re busy. We aren't a giant supermarket chain, just a local spot where you might have to squeeze past a ladder if we’re changing a lightbulb or reaching for something on a high shelf. Most of our customers live right around the corner, so we know who likes which brand of tea or who’s looking for a specific kind of spice. The neighborhood is lively, and we feel like a small part of that daily rhythm. Sometimes the billing machine acts up and we have to do things the old-fashioned way for a minute, but nobody seems to mind much. We just keep things simple and try to be here when someone realizes they ran out of sugar or soap right before dinner. It’s just us, working away in Rajaji Puram, making sure the shelves stay stocked.
