Fatima Kazimi

It’s just me, Fatima Kazimi, working out of the house here at 112 Peer Jalil. If you know the South part of Gola Ganj in Lucknow, you know it gets pretty crowded during the day. This place isn't anything fancy to look at. It is just a regular building where I handle things. Most days I’m just sitting at the desk or dealing with people coming in and out of the lane. It’s a bit noisy because of the traffic and the shops nearby, but we’ve been here a while now. I started this because I needed something to do that made sense for the neighborhood. It isn't a big corporation or anything like that. Just a small setup. People usually find me by asking around the Gola Ganj area because the numbering can be a little confusing if you aren’t from here. We don't have a big sign out front or anything. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we need. I usually have tea around four and that's when things slow down a bit. I don't really have a big staff, just a couple of people who help out when it gets busy. We just try to get the work done and go home at a decent hour. It's a simple way of doing things and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. It’s just life in Lko.
