If you head over to Gulzar Colony in Chinhat, you'll find us at 633/003C. Dss Welfare Foundation is a local operation through and through. The area is usually quite busy, and there’s always something going on in the streets outside. Our office isn't much to look at, just a simple space where we keep our records and meet people. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. Most of what we have is functional. We’ve been in this part of Lucknow for some time, so we know the local shops and the people who live nearby. It’s a tight-knit spot. Work starts early and usually goes on until the sun sets. We deal with whatever comes our way, whether it’s helping someone with paperwork or just giving advice. It can be tiring, but we don't mind the long hours. Sometimes we run out of space when a lot of people show up at once. We just bring in extra stools or stand out front. The heat in the summer can be tough since we don't have much in the way of cooling, but we manage. Chinhat is our home, and we feel lucky to be working right here in Gulzar Colony. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just making things a little bit easier for the people in our own street and the blocks around us. It is just basic work for regular people.
