We spend most of our days here in Alambagh, right near the Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir. It’s a busy part of Lucknow, especially on SBI Road. Our place at 551Ka/240 Bhilawan isn't fancy, just a few rooms where we sit with students and go over their lessons. You can usually hear the bells from the temple in the morning when we first open up the shutters. It gets a bit dusty with the traffic outside, but we keep the fans running and just get to work. Most of the kids live nearby in Om Nagar, so they just walk over after their school finishes. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows and keep going with the books. It’s a simple setup. We’ve got some old wooden desks and a whiteboard that’s seen better days. Usually, I'm the one who gets here first to unlock the gate and sweep the front bit. People know us around here because we’ve been in this building for a while now. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. Just chairs and tables. The chai stall down the road brings us tea around four o'clock. That’s usually when the place is loudest with everyone talking at once. We just try to make sure every kid understands their homework before they head home for dinner.
