Divanshi Beauty Parlour

Divanshi Beauty Parlour is situated in Manglam Plaza on Ring Road. We are right at the Engineering College Chauraha in Lucknow, so there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside. The building is easy to spot once you get to the intersection. Our shop is up on one of the floors and we have a good view of the street below. We get a lot of students from the college because they are always passing by. The shop isn't very big, so things can get a bit tight when more than three people are waiting. We have some wooden chairs for people to sit on and a small table with water. The mirrors are large and cover most of the main wall. We do a lot of haircuts and bridal work when the season is right. Sometimes we stay open late if there are people still waiting. The light switches are a bit loose so you have to press them just right. We don't have any fancy uniforms, we just wear what’s comfortable for working long hours. Most of our day is spent talking to regulars about their lives and the local news. It’s a steady kind of work. We aren't trying to be the most famous place in town. We just want to do our work and go home to our families.
